Mindful Mood Balance
Strategies for Overcoming Residual
This is a research study that seeks feedback on an online therapy (Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy or MBCT) intended to teach skills to help prevent the reoccurrence of depression. Currently, MBCT involves 8 weekly in-person sessions led by a therapist. However, attending sessions in person can be difficult for many with busy schedules. One solution to this problem could be to provide MBCT via the internet. MBCT experts have developed a website and we’re asking for individuals to use some or all of the modules. We’d like to know how easy this website is to use, what might improve it, and how effective it might be. To measure its effectiveness some participants in this study will be asked to complete a series of surveys and questionnaires. Use of the website would occur in each participant’s own home, but some meetings at Kaiser Permanente medical offices would occur to complete the first set of surveys and obtain feedback in group settings.
You may be eligible to participate if you are you a current member of Kaiser Permanente Colorado, are 18 years of age or older, and have access to an email address and internet from a home computer. Please complete the form on the SOAR Website, and a project coordinator will contact you.
